Growth During Key Developmental Stages

After advancing to Xinming Junior High School, Lin Li experienced a significant growth spurt, reaching a height of 175 cm, which greatly enhanced his potential in baseball. He honed his batting and fielding skills, earning him multiple opportunities to represent the Taiwan national team in international competitions, including the 2011 IBA World Junior Baseball Championship. However, unlike his peers considered high school "superstars," Lin Li wasn't immediately hailed as a star upon graduation. Instead, he chose to study at the National Taiwan University of Physical Education and Sport, where he worked hard to gain experience and continuously improve his skills.

In 2017, Lin Li entered the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) draft and was surprisingly chosen in the second round by the Lamigo Monkeys (now Rakuten Monkeys), earning the title of the "dark horse" of the draft.
